We announce the death of Billie Sidden of Traphill, North Carolina, who passed away on October 15, 2026, at the age of 94. Billie will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Asur and Samantha Richardson Absher; her husband Claude R. Sidden; and her brothers, Charles A. Absher, Jr. and John A. Absher.
She is survived by: her children, Billie Jean Johnston (Greg) of Traphill, Barry Sidden (Sybille) of Winston-Salem, Roger Sidden (Cathy) of Traphill and Dale Sidden (Mary) of Traphill; and her grandchildren, Christopher Sidden (Anne), Shaun Sidden (Rebekah), Davidson Sidden (Gina), Daniel Sidden (Emma), Britney Kennedy (Joseph), Jacob Johnston (Kayla), Caleb Johnston (Katherine) and Samuel Johnston (Chalyn). She is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 18th 2026 from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the Double Creek Baptist Church (9452 Longbottom Rd, Traphill, NC 28685). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 18th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Sunday, October 18th 2026 at the Double Creek Baptist Church Cemetery (9452 Longbottom Rd, Traphill, NC 28685).
Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to Double Creek Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 9924 Longbottom Road, Traphill, NC 28685.
