He was predeceased by : his parents, James Harvey Ball and Maxine Lowe Ball; his daughters, Susie Ball and Lisa Durham; his siblings, Cleveland Ball, Ernest Ball, Nola Ball Comer and Harlas Rasnake; and his grandson Javier Jose "JJ" Fuentes.

He is survived by : his sons, Mark Ball (Stephanie) and Clayton Ball; his sister Myrtle Settle; his grandchildren, Kirstie Ball Fuentes, SGT Cleveland Ball, Shaianne Nickerson Wolff, Mandi Mullins, Timothy Dolan and Christopher Jarvis; and his great grandchild Leyna Fuentes. He is also survived by several other great-grandchildren.
