She was predeceased by: her husband Frank L. Roark Sr.; her son Frank L. Roark, Jr.; and her parents, Carl Thigpen and Mary Ann Thigpen. She is survived by: her daughter Mary Ann Garten of Trenton; her grandchildren, Brandon Roark (Hope), Heather Willis (Todd), Lindsey Roark (Kody), Lana Nicole Mercer (C. J.), Brent Roark and Alyssa Abbott (Jonathan); and her great grandchildren, Emma Smith, Elizabeth Howard, Colton Willis, Tanner Roark, Emory Roark and Sadie Ann Abbott. She is also survived by four brothers; 3 sisters.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 3rd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Kahlert Funerals & Cremations (308 Main St, Maysville, NC 28555). A graveside service will be held on Monday, August 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Pinelawn Memorial Park (4488 US-70, Kinston, NC 28504).
