She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Edward Hawkins and Junie Mae Lee Hawkins; her husband Albert Lewis Mallard; and her brothers, Thomas Lloyd "Cricket" Hawkins, Billy Lee Hawkins, Ronald Bruce Hawkins and Herman Hawkins.
She is survived by: her sons, Murriel D. Mallard of Trenton and Morris E. Mallard of Trenton; her siblings, Mary H. Parker (Taft) of Kinston, Durwood Hawkins of Dover, Donald Hawkins of Pink Hill and Douglas Hawkins (Hilda) of La Grange; her grandchildren, Corey Mallard (Julia) and Carter Mallard; her great grandchild Charlie Mallard; and her stepgranddaughters, Becky Eastwood and Brandy Metts.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, July 27th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Howard-Carter Funeral Home (1608 W Vernon Ave, Kinston, NC 28504).
