She was predeceased by: her parents, Wade Hampton Lippard and Myrtle Kates Lippard; and her siblings, Lawrence, Pressley, Jim, Grady, Lucy, Blanche and Evelyn.
She is survived by: her sister Ruby L. Long of Raleigh; and her children, Bill (Polly Pernell), Pamela Pernell of Hickory, Van (Jill Pernell) and Cliff (Cathy Pernell). She is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
