He was predeceased by: his parents, Clay McConnell Poole, Sr. and Frankie Marie Sanders Poole of Guilford County; his brother Stephen Poole; and his great grandchild Arkin James Conley. He is survived by: his wife Betty Hall Poole; his children, Kimberly Conley (Chuck Hooven) of Trinity, Karen Allred (Tommy) of Trinity and Daryl Poole (Crystal) of Thomasville; his brother Michael Poole; his grandchildren, Steven Conley (Jen), Brian Allred (Cierra), Briana Williams (Adam), Brooke Hayes (Chad), Zachary Conley (Logan), Chase Poole (Autumn) and Hope Poole; his great grandchildren, Daxton, Spencer Grace, Nolan, Kinley and Avery; his sister-in-law Julia Poole; and his niece Stephanie Elko (Nate).
