It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Esther Mae Hood in Trinity, North Carolina, who passed away on December 18, 2025, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Otis Little and Estelle Little. She is survived by: her sons, Melvin Little (Stephanie), Robert Little (Elaine) and Reginald Little (Sarah); her grandchildren, Tabetha Childress (Randolph), Melvin Little, Jr., Kimberly Smith, Brandii Little, Camille Smith (Jeremis), Androne Hatchett (Anika), Andre Little (Susan), Brandon Little (Landon), Matthew Little (Olivia), Christian Little and Alexandrea Little; her sister Rosetta Joyner; her nieces, Rochelle Joyner and Alicia Joyner; and her nephew Robert Joyner, Jr.. She is also survived by great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
