He was predeceased by: his mother Mary Ellen Davis; and his stepsiblings, Daniel Morgan, David Morgan, Jimmy Morgan and Wilma Jean Grant.

He is survived by: his father Robert Lee Davis; his son Robert Michael Davis; his stepsisters, Josephine Mason and Dora Lee Wishon; his sister-in-law Linda Morgan; and his cousins, Nancy Barker (Rickey), Margaret Nodine (Jerry), Joyce Jarrell (Larry) and Keith Morgan.
