She was predeceased by: her parents, Jack Duncan Brooks and Dorothy Elizabeth Vestal Brooks; and her brother Lindy Hampton Brooks. She is survived by: her husband Ron; her stepdaughter Paula Byerly (Heath) of Oak Island; her sister Sharon Andrews (Mike) of Archdale; and her nephews, Mike Andrews (Bonnie) of Troy and Brett Andrews (Lindsey) of Thomasville. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, May 2nd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Mt. Vernon Church (9931 Archdale Rd, Trinity, NC 27370). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 2nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mount Vernon Church, 9931 Archdale Road, Trinity, NC 27370, or by performing an act of kindness in Gail's memory.
