He was predeceased by : his mother Betty Starkey Sheriff. He is survived by : his daughters, Madison Sheriff of Trinity, Stacy Robbs (Jesus Ledezma) of Thomasville and Victoria Strickland of Randleman; his siblings, Ann Kilby (Robert Kilby) of Thomasville and Kenneth Sheriff (Kay) of Thomasville; his grandchildren, Thalia Ledezma of Thomasville, Karleigh Ledezma of Thomasville, Evelyn Rose of Randleman and Colton Ledezma of Thomasville; his niece Melissa Baker of Thomasville; his nephew Timothy Kilby of Thomasville; his cousin Michael Mclaurin of Trinity; and his former life partner Crystal Wright (Lisa Brown) of Trinity.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 24th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the J. C. Green and Sons Funeral Home (122 W Main St, Thomasville, NC 27360).
