She was predeceased by : her parents, Oscar Stafford and Myrtle Phipps Stafford; her husband John T. "Pete" Holder, Sr.; her grandchildren, Christopher Holder and Heather Holder; and her siblings, Margaret Perdue, Mildred Angel, Betty Shuitt and Joe Stafford.

She is survived by : her children, Tommy Holder (Sheila) and Deb Neal (Steve); her grandchildren, Brooke Johnson (Sam) and Courtney Pigg (Thomas); her great grandchildren, Bramley, Braylen Johnson and Emma Holder-Gibson; and her extended family, Tabitha, Jake, Maddy, Harper and Luke Gibson. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service was held on Sunday, April 28th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Sedge Garden United Methodist Church (794 Sedge Garden Rd, Kernersville, NC 27284).
