It is with sadness that the passing of Rex Ivey Thompson of Trinity, North Carolina is shared. Rex, born on March 12, 1936, passed away on July 28, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Chester Lucious Thompson; his wife Carolyn Price Thompson; and his brothers, Terry Chester Thompson and Roger Dale Thompson. He is survived by: his children, Teresa Carter of Trinity, Angela Vaden of Greensboro and Russell Ivey Thompson (Melissa) of Georgia; his sister Janet Beeson (Ronnie) of High Point; his sister-in-law Susan Palmer Thompson of Denton; his friend Frankie Collins; and his caring neighbors, Wendy and Brian Hogan. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
