He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Hyatt and Lois Whittington Hyatt; his son Richard A. Hyatt; and his brother T. C. Hyatt. He is survived by: his wife Ernestine Smith; his daughter Crystal Kinley (Gabriel) of Thomasville; his granddaughter Nikki Hyatt of Thomasville; his great grandchild Cannon Mann of Thomasville; his sister-in-law Juanita Proctor; and his pet Buddy.
