He was predeceased by: his parents, Simon Peter Draughn and Grace Geneva Hardy Draughn; and his siblings, Jeraldine "Jerri" Edwards and Kenneth Dee Draughn. He is survived by: his wife Betty Draughn; his children, Julie Mentel (Eric) of Winnabow, NC, Medissa Cox (Tony) of Myrtle Beach, SC and Johnnie Spivey (Carol) of Myrtle Beach, SC; his brother Roger Draughn of Thomasville, NC; his sister-in-law Brenda Draughn of Thomasville, NC.; his grandchildren, Taylor Diane Spivey, Cole Spivey (Peyton), Anna Brice Cox, Blaine Spivey, Kaylee Jean Spivey, Cade Cox and Cowen Cox; and his great grandchildren, Jackson Spivey-Blair, Everleigh Jean Spivey, Kade Spivey and Brinley Spivey.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:45 PM at the Mount Gilead Church (4736 Mt Gilead Church Rd, Sophia, NC 27350). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Mt Gilead Church (4736 Mt Gilead Church Rd, Sophia, NC 27350).
