He was predeceased by : his mother Polly Watson. He is survived by : his wife Cathy Johnson; his daughter Kelli McDowell (J. J.); his grandson Finnegan Stephen of High Point; his siblings, Paul Cothran, Jr. (Linda) of Thomasville, Christy Duncan (Eric) of Summerfield, David Cothran of Trinity, Cathy Carlile (Flint) of Trinity and Matt Cothran (Jocelyn) of Jamestown; and his nieces, Nikki, Jessica, Rebecca, Brelyn and Mara.
