He was predeceased by : his parents, Charlie (Romell Mitchell) and Tommy. He is survived by : his wife Brenda; his family, Sandra Johnson and Mike Yarbrough; his daughters, Charlotte Hemmings (Danny) and Linda Allen (David); his grandchildren, Brette Hemmings (Jimmy Nielsen), Nick Allen (Anna), Ryan Allen (Mel) and Dylan Allen; and his great grandchildren, Jackson Allen, Finley Grace Allen, Nadia Bosse, Levi Allen and Rue Allen. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Viewing was held on Saturday, May 4th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Hanes Lineberry Funeral Home. A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 4th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Guilford Memorial Park (6000 W Gate City Blvd, Greensboro, NC 27407).
