She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Glenn Hager and Mary Lou Dagenhart Hager; her husband Robert Lee Montgomery; her great grandchild Billy M. Rumple; and her brother Stephen B. Hager.

She is survived by: her children, Randy L. Montgomery (Vickie) of Troutman, Tracy M. Wallace (Ralph) of Cleveland and Kevin R. Montgomery (Renee) of Troutman; her grandchildren, Justin Wallace, Shanna Rumple, Maddison Montgomery and Zachary Montgomery; her great grandchild Hudson Wallace; her sister-in-law Gloria Hager of Statesville; and her sibling's children, Jennifer Holden and Kirk Hager. She is also survived by three step great grandchildren.
