She was predeceased by: her parents, Khoo Phaik Poh and Ong Eng Chong; her husband Basil Cheek; and her brother Ong Boon Leong. She is survived by: her daughter Gigey Cheek Wilcox; her son-in-law Randy Wilcox of Statesville; her grandchildren, Colt Williams, Andromeda Cheek and Athena Wilcox; her stepgranddaughter Annie Wilcox; and her siblings, Ong Boon Haw, Ong Lay Chye, Ong Lay Huat, Ong Siew Guat and Ong Siew Lan. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made in Evelyn's memory to the charity of your choice supporting diabetes research or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
