It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helen Leonard (Troutman, North Carolina), born in Isle of Wight, Virginia, who passed away on January 14, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Burle Knight and Effie Griggs Knight; her former life partner John H. Piland, II; her husband Ralph Leonard; and her brother Burle Knight.
She is survived by : her children, Debra P. Beasley and Jay Piland (Elisha). She is also survived by five grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
