He was predeceased by: his stepfather Floyd Estes; and his brother Johnny Hinson. He is survived by: his wife Julia Cook Hinson; his sons, James "Mark" Hinson (Theresa) and John "David" Hinson (Kelly); his sister Jane Hinson Brewer (Mike); and his grandchildren, Jamie Hinson (Krista), Zachary Hinson, Meredith Hinson, Seth Hinson, Holden Hinson and Anniston Fulbright.
