He is survived by: his wife Judith "Judy" Gaye Brown Fortner; his children, Curtis W. Fortner of Troutman and Jerlyn Fortner Dishmond of Troutman; his grandchildren, Kortney Hooks Myers (Chris) of Statesville, NC. and Colby Preston Dishmond (Courtney) of Statesville, NC.; and his great grandchildren, Addington, Tate Myers and Chandler Layne Dishmond.
