With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lee Edward Butcher of Troutman, North Carolina, who passed away on April 9, 2026 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Lee leaves behind and his impact on the lives of his loved ones. Though Lee may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He was predeceased by: his parents, June Esther Talbot Butcher and Edward Butcher III. He is survived by: his wife Diana Barbara Dickinson Butcher of Troutman; his siblings, Dana Gordon Butcher of Summerville, Massachusetts and Wendy June Butcher Archambault of New Ipswich; his sons, Scott Edward Butcher (Priscilla) of Weatherford, Eric Lee Husser (Veronique) of Springfield and Todd Adam Butcher (Laura) of Chapel Hill; and his stepchildren, Aaron Gilbert Taylor Connell (Bing) of Kingwood, Texas, Dayna Lyn Schneider (Charlie) of Charlotte and Heather Allison Lindsey Connell of Charlotte. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the ASPCA.
