She was predeceased by: her parents, Luther "Sam" Mizell and Violet Rae Mizell; and her siblings, Luther Sam Mizell, Jr., Ludy Strother and Sandy Wilson.
She is survived by: her husband Ernie Lamb of Catawba, NC; her daughter Carrie Lorraine Layton (Joey) of Indian Trail, NC; her granddaughter Courtney Violet Layton of Greenville, NC; her stepson Jason (Dee); her stepgrandchildren, Andrew and CJ; and her siblings, Nancy Kerns, Connie Hudson, Tony Mizell and Marty Mizell.
