He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Lee Thomason and Hazel Calloway Thomason. He is survived by: his wife Audrey McBride Thomason; his son Samuel Thomason; his daughter-in-law Allison Thomason; his granddaughter Amy Troxell (Joshua Troxell); his great grandchild Zander Troxell of New Bern, NC; his granddaughter Ashley Thomason of Raleigh, NC; and his pets, Tucker Thomason and Lilah Thomason.
