She was predeceased by: her parents, James "Jimmy" Hardister and Bertha Harvelle Hardister; her husband Richard Leon Russell; and her siblings, Anna Lee Simmons, Madeline Simmons and Charles Hardister.
She is survived by: her sons, Anthony Russell (Darlene) of Troy, Greg Russell (Vicky) of Asheboro, Gary Russell and Larry Russell of Troy; her sister Maxine H. Richardson of Troy; her grandchildren, James Richard, Russell, Lori Beth Russell, Derek Church and Julie Church; and her great grandchildren, Bronwyne Tilley, Ashton Russell and Skylar Russell.
