He was predeceased by : his parents, Elbert Metcalf and Addie Bradley Metcalf; and his siblings, Inez Hudson, Sanford Metcalf and R. C. Metcalf.

He is survived by : his wife Judy Price Metcalf; his son Mark Metcalf (Chastity) of Sunny View; his grandsons, Nathan Metcalf and Brandon Metcalf; and his siblings, Hubert Metcalf (Ann) of Green Creek, Winnell Bailey of Sunny View, Rachel Hodge of Sunny View and Lucille Greene of Myrtle Beach.
