It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John Randolf Jeter in Tryon, North Carolina, who passed away on May 3, 2025, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Colonel John R. and Sara R. Jeter of Union, SC.; and also Stephen Terrell Jeter (Melanie). He is survived by: his children, Stephen, Sally Jeter Gregg (Scott) and John R. Jeter III (Kathy Laughlin); his daughter-in-law Melanie Jeter; his sister Ann Jeter Baldwin of Norfolk, VA; and his grandchildren, Sara Katherine Wade (John Thad), Madison Jeter Coleman (William), Matthew Lawrence Hammond (Lee) and John Wilson Hammond (Erica).
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 at 1:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial gifts be made to The Jeter Family Cemetery (c/o Central Carolina Community Foundation, 2142 Boyce St., Suite 402, Columbia, SC, 29201) or the West Point Association of Graduates (Attn: Gift Operations, 698 Mills Rd., West Point, NY, 10996).
