With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Margie Staton Smith (Tryon, North Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 12, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Bunyan Staton and Gladys Morgan Staton; and her siblings, Dencil Staton, Arva Lee Thomas, Majorie "Jo" Gosnell and Armintie Coggins.
She is survived by: her husband Tommy Smith; her children, Debbie Guice of Saluda, Randy Smith of Saluda and Roger Smith of Shelby; and her siblings, David Staton of Georgia and Della Stafford of Iron Station. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
