He was predeceased by: his parents, Nettie Lee Carroll Cottle and James Clarence Cottle; his former wife Joyce Price Cottle; and his siblings, James Cottle, Will Cottle, John Cottle, Bobby Cottle, Tommy Cottle, Lee Cottle and Mary Dallas Cottle Sutton.
He is survived by: his wife Janet Coley Cottle; his children, Joy Dawn Cottle and Ron Cottle (Teresa); his grandchildren, Chase Cottle, Hunter Bulloch (Laura) and Lauren Bulloch Freeman (Cody); his great grandchildren, Hunter Grace Bulloch, Adeline Bulloch, Chandler Freeman, Dawson Freeman and Adelyn Cottle; his daughters, Renee Bryan Marshall (Henry) and Sherri Bryan Smith (Richard); and his grandchildren, Allen Smith, Andrew Smith, Hank Marshall, Jack Marshall and Brianna Smith.
