She is survived by: her children, Jennifer Johnston Haire (Lee) of Union Grove and Michael Johnston of Union Grove; her grandchildren, Caitlin Haire and Will Haire (Jewel); her siblings, Jeanie M. Souther of Union Grove, Juanita M. Brucke (Kenneth) of Union Grove, Daniel Mahaffey (Martha) of Statesville, File Mahaffey (Shelby) of Vashti, Darrell Mahaffey (Carol) of Union Grove, Dennis Mahaffey (Peggy) of Union Grove and Van Mahaffey (Vonne) of Union Grove; and her pet Ozzie. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church (11635 Statesville Rd, North Wilkesboro, NC 28659). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery (11635 Statesville Rd, North Wilkesboro, NC 28659).
