He was predeceased by: his parents, C. O. Sr. Stamey and Barbara Jean Stamey; his son Charles Wesley Stamey; and his brothers, David and Bobby Stamey.
He is survived by: his children, Traci Young and Tony D. Stamey (Sabrinia); and his siblings, Linda Martin and Scott Stamey. He is also survived by three grandchildren.
