Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Gary Paul of Union Mills, North Carolina, who passed away at the age of 75, on February 7, 2026. As we bid Gary farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Gary is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his wife Marsha Grapes Paul; and his brother Greg Paul. He is survived by: his children, Christopher Paul of Brunswick and Beth Weber (Ron) of Crested Butte, Colorado; his brother Kenny Paul; and his grandchildren, Denali Weber and Coral Weber.
In honor of Gary's love for animals and in lieu of flowers, memorial donations are requested to Heart of the Foothills Animal Rescue, 380 US Highway 221, Rutherfordton, NC 28139.
