Ruth Searcy Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ruth Searcy of Union Mills, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 23, 2026 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Baynard and Sue Baynard; her husband Hubert; her son Roger Searcy; her daughter-in-law Debbie Searcy; and her siblings, James Logan Baynard, Vera Louise "Sis" Hardin, Olema Atchley and Leon Baynard.
She is survived by: her family Hubert Searcy; her children, Donnie (Janice) of Statesville, NC and Cynthia Koone (Robie) of Union Mills, NC; and her grandchildren, Evan Searcy, Brett Searcy, Pelham Gentry, Brooke Pierron, Katie Renaut and Curt Koone. She is also survived by spouses, 12 great-grandchildren, and numerous other special family members.
Ruth loved flowers; however, memorials may also be made to Rutherford County Senior Center; 193 Callahan Koon Road; Spindale, NC 28160.
