He was predeceased by: his daughters, Luisa Lorenzo and Anita Lorenzo. He is survived by: his wife Deborah; his daughters, Alicia Wilson (Jim), Linda McGrady (Stan) and Tina Moore Mt (Keith); and his grandchildren, Marisa Scott, Loren Scott, David McGrady (Stacy), Catherine Duval (Devin), Matthew Elliott (Jess), Sarah Elliott (Nick), Mary Ellliott, Rachel Moore and Adam Moore.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to The Library Foundation of Burke County, 204 S. King Street to continue his mission of life-long learning for the children of Burke County or Amorem, 1721 Enon Road, Valdese, NC 28690 for the chaplaincy program.
