She was predeceased by : her father Cecil Alexander Vance; her grandson Kenneth Alan Barnes, Jr.; and her sister Kathy Vance. She is survived by : her friend Christian; her husband James Max Barnes, Jr.; her children, James Max Barnes, III of Connelly Springs, Melissa Fleming (Eric) of Hudson, Kenneth Barnes (Annie Hoffman) of Valdese, Melinda Roberts (David) of Connelly Springs and Jason Barnes of Connelly Springs; her adoptive son Larry Floyd of Connelly Springs; and her brothers, Larry Gene Vance of Connelly Springs and Jimmy "Dale" Vance of Connelly Springs. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; six great grandchildren.
