She was predeceased by: her parents, Hubert Sain and Gladys Sain. She is survived by: her husband Tommy Smith, Jr.; her sons, Thomas Smith, III (Bethanne) and Daniel Smith (Sara); her granddaughters, Susannah of Vale, Caroline of Vale, Stella of Vale and Chloe Smith of Vale; and her siblings, Dr. Larry Sain (Beth), Tracy Sain of Vale and Karen Sain (Renee) of Vale.
