He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Franklin Houser and Essie Mosteller Houser; and his siblings, Hazeline Heafner, Parmer, Frank and Bob (Dean Houser).
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Tallent Houser; his daughter Hannah Houser Norwood (Stephen) of Vale; his grandchildren, Eliza Marie Hullette, Noah Houser Hullette, Beth Meads and Zack Norwood; Melinda Bines, Rhonda Joyner, Carley Butler, Chassity Mayes, Valerie Moyaka and Tonya Minton. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
