He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Miller Tallent and Raye Brittain Tallent; and his brothers, Ralph Tallent, Jr. and Sammy Tallent. He is survived by: his wife Berna Sain Tallent; his children, Gaye Tallent Willis (Bryan) of Vale, Melanie Tallent Ward (James) of Vale and Dale Turnmire (Tracy) of Vale; his grandchildren, Brittany Robinson (Thomas) of Glen Alpine, Chase Ward, McKenzie Willis and Jack Willis (Emma); and his great grandchildren, Gabriella Robinson and Darci Willis.
