He is survived by: his wife Darlene Richardson Avery; his daughter Marcie Avery Smith (Wesley); his siblings, Ray Avery (Jeanie), Joe Avery (Rosie), Mike Avery (Melinda), Donald Avery (Debbie), Bobby Avery (Donna), Francis Henley and Joanne Heavner (Danny); and his grandson Nathan Smith (Emily). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
