She is survived by: her husband Kenneth Earl Proffitt; her mother Ethel Broyhill Smith; her children, George Donald Owenby (Sharon), Elizabeth May Daniels, Renia Layne (Luke) and Britennnee Smith (Josh); her sisters, Donna Hourihan (Darrin) and Rita Sigmon; and her siblings' children, Angie West (Jeremy) and Chris Atkins. She is also survived by her 15 grandchildren.
