He was predeceased by: his wife Dolly Ann Harris Stox; his parents, Jimmie Stox and Virginia Belle Stox; and his brother James Earl Stox. He is survived by: his children, Stephen E. Stox (Stacey) of Greenville and Tammy Stox Smith of New Bern; his grandchildren, Noah, Grace Stox and Makayla Smith; his stepchildren, Suzanna Grajales (Freddy) of Goldsboro, Cara Parrish (David) of Goldsboro, Laura Guelfi (Fernando) of Goldsboro and Justin Smith (Amy) of Apex; and his stepgrandchildren, Jayde, Eli, Lili Grajales, Jacob Trenton, Bennett Smith, Enzo and Gabriel Guelfi.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Parkers Chapel Free Will Baptist Church (3551 Greenville Blvd NE, Greenville, NC 27834). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
