It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Billy Clark Ellis of Vanceboro, North Carolina, who passed away on November 24, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Walter and Martha Webb Ellis; his son Billy "Don" Ellis; and his siblings, Weldon, Hildon, Willard, Melvin and Ruby Whitley.
He is survived by: his significant other Rose "Marie" Ellis; his daughter Donna "Rose" Miller (Lee) of New Bern; his grandchildren, Erin Miller Langston (Kevin) of Wilmington and Ashley Miller Mares (Joey) of New Bern; and his great grandchildren, Brooklyn Mares, Keylee Mares, River Langston and Brodie Langston. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the ECU Health Inpatient Hospice to honor the wonderful service they provided Billy and family.
