We bid farewell to Billy Wayne Daugherty of Vanceboro, North Carolina, born in Grimesland, North Carolina, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on October 8, 2025 at the age of 86. Billy touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Daugherty and Isabel Daugherty; his son Malcom Scott Daugherty; his brothers, Alton, Pete, James, Linwood and Doug; and his daughter-in-law Lorea Daugherty.

He is survived by: his wife Doris Carmichael; his son Alan; his grandchildren, Taylor, Cameron Nichols, Ryan and Andi Carpenter; his great grandchildren, Bryson and Huntly Nichols; his siblings, Jean Rhodes (Frederick) and Danny Daugherty (Alice); and his sisters-in-law, Francis Daugherty and Laura Daugherty.
