Billy Gene Mitchell Obituary

We are sad to announce that, on December 1, 2022, at the age of 77, Billy Gene Mitchell of Vanceboro, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his former wife Peggy Riggs Mitchell; his wife Carol Griffin Mitchell; and his parents, William Mitchell and Rebia Mitchell. He is survived by: his children, Jessica Denise Mitchell and William Mitchell; his grandchildren, Bethany Dawn, Eliyah Sean, Rachel LeAnn-Grace, Cora Jane and Liam Trynt; his sister Phyllis Wilson; and his uncles, Marvin Wiggins and Norman Wiggins.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Billy's memory to the Wounded Warrior Project.
