He was predeceased by : his parents, Henry Bryant and Bertha Mills Scott; his siblings, JB, Willie Ray, Dorothy, Genevieve, Magnolia and Edith Mae; and his former life partner Ann Cox.
He is survived by : his children, Jackie Williams of Greenville, Terry Betts of Texas, Angela Scott of Sneads Ferry, Randy Scott and Elizabeth of Aurora; and his brother James of Salem. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
