He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl B. Moore and Mildred Schmedel Moore; and his wife Jo Ann Strebe Moore. He is survived by: his daughters, Carol Moore-Monroe (Douglas) of Greenville and Amy M. Keusink (Chris) of Gold Beach, Oregon.. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
He held professional offices in state and national organizations, receiving the "Orpheus Award" from Phi Mu Alpha "Sinfonia" for significant and lasting contributions to the cause of music in America".
