Cheryl Ruth Horowitz Obituary
In loving memory of Cheryl Ruth Horowitz of Vanceboro, North Carolina, who departed this world on October 11, 2025 at the age of 82. Cheryl leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father John Davin; her grandparents, Herb and Ruth Carroll; her brothers, Ron and Jim Davin; and her siblings-in-law, June Davin and Al Deson.
She is survived by: her mother Marleah Davin; her husband Larry; her children, Lewis Horowitz (Sharon), Sara Shanklin (Wiley), James Horowitz (Hein) and Saul Horowitz (Liz); her grandchildren, Cody Horowitz (Ashlie), Marlee Shanklin, Ami, Oni Horowitz and Lily Horowitz; her great grandchild Leo Horowitz; her brother Jack Davin; her sister-in-law Betty Deson; her friend Jan Winig; and her cousin Bill Burke. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Pinewood Memorial Park (4150 E 10th St, Greenville, NC 27858).
