She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred Herrmann and Rosemarie Herrmann; and her father-in-law Roy Estes. She is survived by: her husband David Estes; her children, Joana Herrmann-Lyon, Nicole Disanto, David Estes II and Mathew Estes; her grandchildren, Julien Lyon, Ciara and Natalia Jones; her children, Ava, Kaylee Estes and Jacob Estes; her mother-in-law Phyllis Estes; her brother Uwe Herrmann (Margarette Herrmann); her nephew Marco; her nieces, Alexandra and Annette; her brother Alexander Herrmann (Kerstin Herrmann); her nibling Thore; her sister-in-law Deborah Humphries (Kent Humphries); her nieces and nephews, Devon, Garrett and Taylor; her sister-in-law Lori Estes; her nieces and nephews, Saranti and Anna; her sister-in-law Lisa Nelson; her nieces and nephews, Savanah and Ashley; and her cousins, Karin Warren and MoniKa Maier.

Dagmar requested that, in place of flowers, loved ones donate to the ECU Health Foundation for cancer care, or to St. James United Methodist Church, located at 2000 E 6th St, Greenville, NC 27858, where her final resting place will be.
