He was predeceased by: his parents, George L. Daughtry and Grace Sutton Daughtry; and his brother Preston Daughtry. He is survived by: his wife Lindy Murray Daughtry; his children, Laura Ann "Lauri" Daughtry of Mebane, Edward "Alan" Daughtry, Jr. (Lisa) of Greenville, Grace "Missy" Daughtry Smith (Lowell) of Oxford, Deide McGee Shelton (Rodney) of Summerfield and Robby McGee (Ashley) of Wilmington; his grandchildren, Michael Zalimeni (Emily), Kelsey Zalimeni, Blake Smith, Matthew Daughtry, Bailey Blount (Thomas), Carmen May, Austin Shelton, Bella McGee and Myah McGee; his great grandchildren, Ellie Zalimeni and Eloise Blount; and his sisters-in-law, Ola Daughtry and Laura Herring (Dana). He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made in memory of Ed to the Boys and Girls Club or the Salvation Army.
