With solemn reverence, we commemorate Edward Wayne Dupree Sr. of Vanceboro, North Carolina, born in Farmville, North Carolina, whose life came to an end on July 15, 2025 at the age of 79, leaving behind cherished memories. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lucy Dupree and Seth Dupree; and his sisters, Carol Cannon and Ann Stox Suggs. He is survived by: his wife Shelby Jean Dupree; his children, Edward Wayne Dupree Jr. and Tracy Lynn Weber (Kevin); his grandchildren, Candace Dupree (Benji), Brittany Dennis (Deric), Justin Weber (Amber), Selena Turner (Trey), Austin Weber (Abby), Wayne Dupree, Johnnie Dupree and Daniel Montoya; his great grandchildren, Andrew Baughman, Kaitlyn Baughman, Haleigh Baughman, Hayden Dennis, Tristan Dennis, Sofia Turner and June Weber; and his siblings, Shelby Jean Griffin, Bonnie Benton and Johnnie Dupree. He is also survived by his family: the dependable husband, the doting father.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Bethany Free Will Baptist Church. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
